Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEVs) are a key research topic for EPRI. In fact, EPRI has been conducting research and development on electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles for more than 30 years. EPRI was the first research organization to look at the challenges faced with plug-in electric vehicles and the conducted the milestone assessment, with the Natural Resources Defense Council, to analyze the environmental impacts of electric transportation in the United States.
